Apparently Wizkid Is Not The First African/Nigerian To Sell Out The Royal Albert Hall

First things first, a big congratulations to Wizkid for selling out the Royal Albert Hall. The Star Boy achieved this feat on the 30th of September. His show was so successful that a lot of celebs went on social media to congratulate Wizzy not just for a sold out show but hailing him as the first Nigerian and in some cases African to sell out the Royal Albert hall.

Thank u London ! ❤️ amazing experience !

A big congrats to him and all however controversial twitter handle Mr Aye dee was quick to draw our attention to the fact that Wizzy was neither the first Nigerian or African to Sell out the Royal Albert Hall.

Infact the first Nigerian to fill up the Royal Albert Hall was Sade Adu in they year 1993. However if you do not accept Sade as Nigerian just as she has never claimed to be Nigerian, then at least we can boldly tell you he is not the first African. African artists like LadySmith Black Mambazo in the year 1999, Youssour Ndor from Senegal, Salif Keita and Baaba Maal

However this does not take away from the great feat achieved by Wizkid and we are proud of his success. Wizzy whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun recently released an EP recently titled ‘Songs From Another side’.
