Rapper Saeon Moruda, popularly know as “The BoyChick Saeon Moruda with the 87 Swags”, went MIA some years back made a remarkable recovery into the music industry at the April’s edition of Basement Gig.
After that forgettable controversy with Wizkid in 2014, her surgery and the passing of her father, Saeon took a break to settle personal issues, but the ‘Debe’ crooner, has chosen to resurface with powerful music and renewed energy as she thrilled the audience at the 13th edition of the Basement Gig. It was heartwarming to see her perform again; and the much maligned Naija rap fans will be excited to have one of its most talented femcees back behind the mic. You’ll remember the Naija rap scene and fans have come under scrutiny after MI’s diss track and recently after J.Cole’s concert in Lagos. Good to see some positive response from that section of Nigerian music. Check out Saeon’s new single out the SoundCloud link below:
Other artistes that performed on that night include Trigga Madtonic, Pasha, Idyl and IDA Banton. The Basement Gig, which was hosted by the award winning OAP Kemi Smallz alongside Sheye Banks with music by the official Basement Gig DJ, DJ Six7even, is an initiative of The Zone Agency and supported by Zebra Stripes Networks.
