Since its birth 11 years ago, Arise Fashion Week has helped put Nigeria and Africa, as a whole, on the global fashion map, promoting African designers on the runways of the world. This fifth edition of the show which kicked off over the weekend at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, paraded 45 designers from 16 countries.
Day 1, tagged ‘About That Curvy Life’, opened the floor for the event and it featured bold designs and plus size models to encourage diversity and variety in the fashion industry. It featured designers like Andrea Iyamah, LanRe DaSilva and KLUK CGDT.
