Featuring raw talent straight from the studios and streets of Lagos, The Basement Gig seems to have its finger on the pulse of the underground music scene. The March edition, which held at Alba Lounge, Victoria Island on March 23, 2018 saw performances from a mixture of known and soon-to-be known names in Naija music: Terry Apala, Straffitti, Blaq Bonez, Ckay, Chillz, and Joules da Kid who performed their featured songs from MI’s new album ‘Rendezvous’. MI entertained the guest with songs off his new album as well as hit songs from his previous albums.
Hosted by Kemi Smallz, the event which saw a high turnout of people also had industry big names like Reminisce, who gave a surprise performance, Aramide, Samantha Walsh, Ehiz, Sess, Boj, Bolly Lomo, Bizzle and others who came to support the movement.
The Basement gig, an initiative of The Zone Agency, not only provided an opportunity for new acts to showcase their skills and interact with existing and potential fans, but also creates an environment for relaxation and entertainment.
