We recently caught up with the CEO of Terra Kulture, Bolanle Austen-Peters who is also the producer of hit musicals ‘Wakaa The Musical’ and ‘Saro The Musical’. In her chat with us she dished on the journey of Saro The Musical to London and what she thinks about the Nigerian Art scene.
On the Nigerian art scene Bolanle believes the Nigerian artistry is on an upward clime. In her words;
When we started Terra Culture 13 years ago there was almost nothing. The shift has been phenomenal. The arts (industry) is growing at a phenomenal rate. If you look at what is going on in the economy right now, the art is probably one of the few areas where you are seeing growth.
According to her, the quality of the trade and craft we are experiencing now indicates that things are getting better.
On Saro The Musical moving over to London she made it clear that The Musical will be going to London over the summer holidays in August and will be showing in the UK for a week or two and will be back in Nigeria towards the Christmas period.
