The play ‘Fractures’ was definitely worth the hype and from all indications, at least from the viewing at which I was present, the audience was pleasantly entertained. The play which is an adaptation of Arthur Miller’s ‘A View from the Bridge’, is topical and addresses a lot of issues which almost everyone can relate to.
Directed by Kenneth Uphopho and boasting some Nollywood star power Gideon Okeke and Beverly Naya, Patrick Diabuah, Ropo Ewenla, Gideon Okeke, Tunji Sotiminrin, among other fantastic arts, the show centers on family, love, obsession, control, romance, fidelity, marital issues, among others. The playwright forces one to ask the question: How much is too much?
It borders on the thin line between love and obsession and the battle of wills. A very thrilling play that keeps you glued to your seat from start to finish, not wanting to miss any bit of the action or comedy. Here’s a quick photo splash from the play when it came to Lagos a few weeks ago.
