Wow, I just can’t keep calm because the biggest food festival in Lagos, an initiative of One Lagos tagged “Flavours of Lagos” in association with TasteOff Food Festivals is only 10 days away. I am already salivating, I am sure foodies like me are eagerly anticipating the commencement of the food festival too.
The aim of the food festival is to showcase the rich culture and diversity of Nigerian cuisine and delicacies, raise national awareness about Nigerian foods, promote the production of food locally, encourage healthy eating, celebrate conviviality, promote Lagos amongst other benefits.
The food festival kicks off on 2nd October and ends on 3rd October 2016, at Bar Beach, Victoria Island.
Key attractions at the festival include music and entertainment, live cooking demonstrations, wine and champagne hosting, international food pavilion amongst other amazing things.
Guests can watch professional chefs perform in the demonstrations, find the best pairing through the restaurant and food exhibitor sampling and participate in other events and activities at the festival.
Flavours of Lagos is the beginning of a new dawn in the promotion of made in Nigeria meals. This would be beneficial to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora as it would serve as an annual platform for attracting tourist to partake in our varieties of delicacies and cuisines.
